He is the icon of heroism in Paragon City. Legend has it he was the first hero to appear in the city. But he was not born with the superhuman abilities he now uses to fight evil.
Statesman began as an explorer named Marcus Cole. In 1929, he located the fabled Fountain of Zeus. When he drank from it's waters he was bestowed with the power of the Greek gods themselves.
Since that day he has used those powers to fend off a wide array of villains from the place he calls home, Paragon City.
Here is a list of my primary heroes in-game. I create typically with a focus on story first, then gameplay, and lastly race or sex.
You know, I find it funny that when SONY has updates they're called "Patches" and anybody that's played a SOE game goes by the mantra "Never play on patch day.". But when CoH releases new content it's called an issue and players actually look forward to it. Odd...just a interesting note.
Anyhow, on to he facts. It looks like CoH and CoV will both be getting an update soon with Issue 7. The features for us Hero types seem pretty minimal in comparison to the evil side but they're welcome none-the-less.
It looks like I'll have to get Ipo up to lvl 40 so I can partake in the new lvl 40-50 PVP zone featuring Lord Recluse himself. It looks like they're also stepping up the graphics level on CoH to be more in line with CoV.
For more information check out the official article on the CoH site.
I'm thrilled to announce that the Heroes Central site was awarded the "Best Informational Fansite" in the CoH/CoV fansite contest. As time permits you'll see even more info and features.
Caped crusader Ipo joined over a dozen other heroes that banded together to defeat a giant octopus that emerged today in Independence Port. It was a long battle, sending Ipo to the local hospital a handful of times, but the heroes were victorious in the end.
Ipo usually defends the streets of Paragon City alone but even he had to get some assistance when he came face to face with the Archvillain Terra. He teamed up with Nishimo, Static Shocker, and King G to defeat the nemesis.
"Terra proved to much for me to take on alone.", said Ipo. "Finding her wasn't hard at all, but after a quick trip to the hospital I figured I'd better grab some help. Nishimo Static Shocker and King were more than happy to lend a hand. I was actually very impressed by King's ability to take a beating and keep on going."
King G was qouted as saying, "I am de best."
Thousands of ordinary people from all walks of life, from all around the world lead double-lives. Most spend their days as doctors, students, dentists, electricians or any number of everyday occupations. But when they're not on the clock, they answer their true calling as superheroes of Paragon City.
They defend the city against a wide array of villains and evil-doers while producing ice, fire and electricity from their fingertips. They save many people in need with lightening fast super speed and even flight.
City of Heroes is a Massively Multiplayer Online game developed by Cryptic Studios and distributed by NCSoft.
Heroes Central is not intended to be your one stop guide to the City of Heroes universe. It is simply meant to guide you as a helping hand through CoH, without spoiling any surprises.
I'm not a big believer in power leveling or driving through any game with a checklist of things to do. I'd rather, you know...PLAY the game. With this in might, Heroes Central will supply information and other hints and tips designed to help inform you in your decisions, or point you in the right direction if you feel that your grinding on a level. CoH has a massive amount of things to do and if you find yourself grinding and feel that you're simply missing something, then you probably are.
Admittedly, Heroes Central also gives me a chance to introduce my heroes to the rest of the CoH community.
